6.4 kWp solar and EV charger install in Sheffield
A 6.4 kWp solar system with 16 all-black AIKO Neostar panels and a SigEnergy inverter, plus a SigEnergy 7kW EV charger, on a detached house in Sheffield.
The brief
This job in Sheffield covered solar panels and an EV charger for a detached house. The customer asked for panels that would match the dark slate roof, so we specified all-black modules.

How the install went
We fitted the sixteen panels across the front and rear of the slate roof over two days. The charger went on the side wall by the drive. We ran a dedicated cable to it from a new isolator.
The result
The house now has a 6.4 kWp solar system with all-black panels chosen to sit in with the dark slate. It also has a 7kW SigEnergy charger by the drive for charging an electric car at home. We completed the install in August 2026.
